Founded in 2004 by Chris Gilbert and David Carlson, Gearbox is a multidisciplinary design firm that specializes in book cover design, branding and packaging.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts. His primary focus has been cover design, packaging and identity design. Chris’ cover work has been recognized in Graphic Design USA’s Design Annual and Local/National ADDY Awards. He’s also had identity work featured in Logo Lounge Volume II, Master Book 4 and 6. When away from design, Chris enjoys the outdoors of Central Oregon and visiting the numerous National Parks throughout America's west with his wife and three children.
David earned a degree in Business Administration and began his career as a financial analyst. His work has been recognized by Print Design Annual, Communication Arts Design Annual, and the Graphis Design and Logo Annuals. He grew up in Southern California and now lives in Central Oregon with his wife, and is an avid baseball and college football fan.
